On June 30th—Our Next Big Challenge

Dear Fellow Texans,

Thanks for being a big part of Texas history! Never before in the Lone Star State has a candidate collected nearly 170,000 signatures through grassroots, volunteer-led efforts. We are now assured a spot on the ballot, giving Texans a real choice in November. Your hard work and generosity have made this possible.

This election is an opportunity to take back our political system from the career politicians who are running our state into the ground. On June 30, the campaign faces its next significant deadline: submission of our semi-annual finance report. The media, our opponents and national observers will use this report to measure us against the other candidates. Though I've said the guy with the most money shouldn't always win, our legitimacy as a campaign will be judged by our fundraising ability.

If you are planning to make a contribution, please consider doing so before the end of June so that your contribution can be included in this report.

As you know, our opponents have millions in special interest dollars to use on TV advertising in the weeks leading up to November 7th. Your contributions will help us compete in this crucial battle over the airwaves. So I ask you, the people of Texas - my only special interest group - to help us now.
